Tyler ‘Sho-Ked’ Wilson
Originally from Baldwin, Louisiana, Tyler Wilson attended Southwest Louisiana Community College/Louisiana Tech. At the age of 19 he met some Bboys, the Kabuki Kru, one of Louisiana's oldest street dance crews and fell in love with the form. He later traveled to New York City to study under some of first and second generation pioneers of street dance styles such as Breakin', Hip Hop, Locking, and House. Sho-Ked has battled across the state, performed at the Steubenville South Conference, at the New York City Crown Plaza in Times Square with the Hector Dance Company, and in Las Vegas at the Burlesque Hall of Fame. He was a SAG dancer in the hit TV series “Claws” on TNT and was one of the dancers in the Cupid Shuffle Music Video. Tyler has taught dance for over fifteen years and was one of the founding members of the group Rhythm/Soul; using dance and acting to teach youth about ‘thinking positive and no bullying’ at a variety of schools across the state of Louisiana. His experience teaching young people is his most cherished part of his life journey.
